The NEUSPEED Power Flash Programmer used by our Flashing Dealers is a cutting edge tool that allows reprogramming of the factory ECU via the vehicle’s On Board Diagnostic II port. All OEM communication protocols, as well as checksum protections remain intact. As such, all factory or factory equivalent diagnostic equipment work seamlessly and respond and react as if the vehicle were 100% OE.
The NEUSPEED flash programmer is different from our competitors in many ways. Our system extracts and saves the OE programming in its entirety, and then flashes a new NEUSPEED optimized program. As a result, our tool allows our Flashing Dealers to return customers vehicle to stock (OE) programming 100% and vice-versa, as often as they desire.
NEUSPEED P-Chip Software is entirely tuned on our in-house dynamometer. No other tuner has the background - 36 years of dyno tuning experience. We extract the most power available, yet our experience allows us to tune for better efficiency and drivability as well. Our software delivers power over a broad range of engine speeds for better all-around response and smoother delivery of power. Normally aspirated applications will see adjustments to ignition timing and fuel maps, while turbocharged applications will see increased boost pressure with corresponding adjustments to ignition timing and fuel maps. In addition, the rev limiter (manual transmission) and speed limiter have been raised where applicable.
NEUSPEED also leads the way in being an environmentally conscious tuner. In addition to promoting in-house recycling programs, most NEUSPEED performance parts, including many chip applications are California Air Resource Board (CARB) Exempt. Although independent laboratory testing is very expensive, NEUSPEED feels that it is a worthwhile investment for our customer’s peace of mind.
